When we moved into our new place 3 years ago, the flower garden was a mystery because we didn’t know what plants would come up. I called it my mystery garden because what was planted was so unknown.
That spring was fun!
But I really didn’t know what was a weed and what wasn’t so I didn’t pull things up.
One of the best things about spring is getting to be outside more.
That means I can do two of my favorite things.
- Be in the sunshine
- See nature wake up from the winter sleeping.
Mystery Flowers in the Garden
That meant things got out of control pretty quick. Last year was better and we managed to lay mulch which reduced the amount of weeds greatly! I think that we have conquered about 3/4 of this huge flower garden and I have plans for the the other quarter this year.
This garden is lovely because it is in the SUN!
This is the first house where I’ve had a sunny flower garden that is filled with perennials. Iris, lilies(lots of them), peonies and more. Last year I found a red hot poker plant! So fun!
What mystery flower have you had come up in a garden?
