The crazy busyness of December and all the fun of the holidays really makes me tired every year. Can I get an amen? January and February have become my recovery months and they are perfect for resetting my Bible reading plan for the new year and I’m adding a hospitality habit this year.
DIY Personalized Christmas Ornaments
6 CommentsOur family LOVES to make gifts for others at Christmas. It’s economical and it makes it extra special when it’s handmade! We also have a tradition of a new ornament each year for everyone so these DIY Jenga Ornaments are perfect as they are handmade and cost very little to make!
As with many of my crafts I started with the items in my home and then went to the Dollar Tree for the rest of my supplies. I’m always surprised what I find there! What doesn’t surprise me is the great bargains!
Finding joy when holidays make you sad
2 CommentsGrandma's Pink Cherry Salad
6 CommentsHoliday food always makes me feel a bit nostalgic. Thanksgiving was a huge event at my grandparents with so much food that we couldn’t eat it all. My family had lots of amazing cooks who brought their best to share. One recipe that my mom always made was what we called “Pink Salad” and while it was pink there was no “salad” in it. This is an easy, sweet and fruity recipe that can be part of your meal or dessert. Grandma's Pink Cherry Salad has had many names in our family because usually the maker’s name is attached to it like “Judy’s Pink Salad” and then it would become “Kim’s Pink Salad” as the maker changed.
Deco Mesh Christmas Angel Tutorial
7 CommentsIt is a dangerous thing to start thinking about Christmas decor in November but I’m living on the wild side this week! I keep seeing these beautiful Angels in all the crafting groups (like the Craft Cult) that I’m in and I just had to try my hand at making one. These Deco Mesh Angels would make great tree toppers or go on any Christmas wreath. The instructions for making the angel are sooo easy and the supplies are not expensive at all! My favorite kind of craft!
