Wouldn't it be nice to have life go along smoothly and for there to never be any bumps or situations for us to deal with?
Well . . . . life just doesn't work that way.
Learning is a HUGE part of our everyday life. I'm pretty sure that deciding to homeschool has probably been the biggest adventure that I've ever taken. However, after 18 years of homeschooling I have learned a few things.
It has been a hard 4 years for our family. Our homeschool adventures have been meshed with doctor visits, often being called away from home and plenty of independent learning required from my high schoolers.
3 months ago I was asking myself what to do since we were so behind on our homeschooling. I knew that we had good reasons to be lagging behind because I had a replacement in December. But it is so overwhelming and discouraging to get to December and realize that you still have more than half(more like 3/4) of your school year still to do.
So today it is LOVELY to see we have made significant progress in math, history and science.
Since we have a little more breathing room, we am ready to work more writing in to our daily activities. I know that one of our FEATURED posts is a treasure that will help me to convince my reluctant writer that writing can be fun and is used in real life!
Life is Lovely
I want to invite you to a resource that can bring you up when things seem really down. Each week, some friends and I will be sharing what is lovely in our lives. Maybe a photo, something we've read, or a a funny video.
We'd love for you to participate. Share the good things you have found in your life this week!
Welcome to the Life is Lovely Link Up!
We'll be here each Tuesday celebrating the lovely in our lives. Link up a post below that celebrates whatever is lovely in your life! Each week we will pick a feature that will be pinned to our Pinterest Board and featured in the following week's link up.
